Delilah and her friend Quinn decide to go to a speed dating event. While on their way, Delilah falls and breaks her glasses. Unable to use her glasses, she begins to see animated red flags above her date's head.

This thesis will examine the South Korean music industry’s rapid globalization and demonstrate how K-pop constitutes a media contra-flow.

K-Pop: The Strings Behind The Puppets

In this analysis we examine why K-Pop companies control their artists' personal lives and how society is influenced by these harmful “perfect” images of these stars. Our main argument is for the freedom and extended human rights for these artists against their companies’ restrictive rules by outlining the protocols used to control their artists, explaining why the companies restrict their artists, and highlighting the effects that these limitations have on the musicians and their fandoms.
